This is how Kim Keith defines leadership. She is VERY active in the Texarkana community.  She has just completed being the Chair of the Susan G Koman Race for the Cure with great success. Leadership Texarkana had the chance to ask this LT graduate  her thoughts about Leadership and many other things and this is what she had to say… 

For what community organization or issue or opportunity do you have a passion and invest your time, talent or money? 

"I try to support as many of the local organizations as possible, through time, talent and money. For 2016, most of my time has been spent as Chair for the 2016 Komen Texarkana Race for the Cure. My husband and I also support United Way, St. James Day School, American Heart Association, St. Michael’s Foundation, Harvest Texarkana, JDRS, American Cancer Society, Delta Water Fowl, TRAHC, Women for the Arts, Leadership Texarkana, Opportunities, and I’m sure I have forgotten some, but we both feel that supporting our community is very important."

If you had one wish and could make a difference of significance in Texarkana (your small corner) what would you do with that one wish and why? 

"My wish would be for positivity from all the citizens of this community. We live in a great city that has a lot to offer, but it starts with us believing that and being positive about it and not looking to others to make the community great but starting with ourselves."

What do many people not know about you that you would to share with us? What are some of your passions and hobbies? 

"Some may know this and some may not, but I love to be in front of a microphone! I have several passions (I’m a pretty passionate person)...my family, elders, fitness and making a difference in the lives of others. My hobbies include, spending time with my wonderful husband, Korey and my two kiddos, Kamdyn and Kollier, when I’m not doing that I love fitness (working out, Rucking, running, anything outside)."

What do you most love to do in Texarkana? 

"Support the local restaurants. I love to have someone cook for me. If you want a review on a local place to eat, I’m your gal."

What do you most love about Texarkana, in general? 

"I love how giving and supportive Texarkana residents are to their community and its nonprofits."
