1. 8th Annual Jeans & Bling! 
Saturday, Oct. 14, 7 p.m., Texarkana Convention Center. Benefiting Hospice of Texarkana. At the Texarkana Convention Center. Concert by country music star Lucas Hoge, Texas Barbecue Buffet and the “Battle of the Hair Salons Lip Sync Battle”. Silent Auction, Raffles, games by HealthCare Express and door prizes. 2. Texarkana Symphony Orchestra presents Symphonic Pictures. Saturday, Oct. 14, 7:30 p.m., Perot Theatre. Join the TSO for opening night featuring grand romantic music inspired by the Fountains of Rome to the Great Gate of Kiev! Buy Tickets: trahc.org

3. Homecoming WEEK at TAMU-T! October 9-14. Filled with fun from Monday, Oct. 9, through Saturday, Oct. 14, with the Eagles women’s and men’s soccer matches against Louisiana State University Alexandria, beginning at 3 p.m. at Eagle Field on the A&M-Texarkana campus.

A&M-Texarkana Alumni Association special events:

  • 2017 Eagle Roundup: A Community Celebration of Distinguished Alumni and Faculty on Thursday, Oct. 12, at 6:30 p.m. 
  • 2017 Eagle Chili Fest and Tailgate from 12-3 p.m. on game day, Oct. 14, on the Eagle Lawn next to the University Center.

4. Komen Race for the Cure Events This Week

  • Pink Out Day Contest. Friday, Oct 13, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Contact the race office to be a part of the PINK OUT DAY CONTEST and have the pink Jeep visit your location. 903-793-9585 for more information.

  • 2nd Annual Kids Glow Run (6 and under). Saturday, Oct. 14, 5:30–8 p.m. at Texarkana College. Presented by Pediatric Dentistry of Texarkana, a fun-filled neon evening! Registration fee includes BOTH the Kids Glow Run and the Race for the Cure.
