North Heights Junior High Principal Named Regional Principal of the Year

North Heights Junior High principal, Theresa Cowling, has been named Regional Principal of the Year by Magnet Schools of America (MSA), the national association for magnet and theme-based schools. This annual award recognizes exemplary magnet school principals from MSA’s eight regions who have demonstrated a strong commitment to maximizing learning opportunities for all students through theme-based education, while also setting high expectations within their schools and communities. Region 5 includes Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas. Theresa is a 2016 graduate of Leadership Texarkana and has generously provided leadership to LT’s Today’s Youth, Tomorrow’s Leaders program for the past three years.
