Tex*Rep has been Texarkana USA’s premiere theatre group for 25 years because of people like you–performing on stage, building sets, working backstage, supporting in all ways.  

                  Tex*Rep performs four plays per year under the masterful artistic direction of Michael Cooper, who also heads the Texarkana College Department of Drama. (two plays each year are produced in partnership with TC’s Drama Department).  Michael’s message to all: “It is my greatest hope that you will get excited enough to become a part of Tex*Rep!”

  • the 5K Cold Turkey Run celebrating this year’s Kick Butts tobacco prevention campaign....Get your teams together and sign up to participate on March 19th.   Let’s see that creative energy flow while you and your co-workers, fellow students or family members design, construct and set sail in your boat made completely of duct tape and recycled materials. If getting wet is not your thing, then grab a friend and run the “Cold Turkey” 5K.  Both FREE and FUN.

  • BOOGIE WOOGIE LIVES!   “Nobody doesn’t like boogie woogie!” is Ezra Charles’ jumping-off point to the “Story of Boogie Woogie,” as he weaves a fascinating history of this bouncing, jiving piano format, covering the relationship between Blues, Jazz, Ragtime and what was originally called “Texas-Style Piano.” With his son Jakob on percussion, they re-create the excitement of this favorite piano sound from a century ago.   • PARTY WITH PICASSOS   Celebrating T-Town’s 17th annual celebrity art auction like no other, presented by Women for the Arts and featuring works by “celebrity” bankers, lawyers, doctors, dentists, educators, musicians, entrepreneurs, businessmen and businesswomen who’ve been paired with local professional artists as coaches - to create original works of art, all sales benefitting life-transforming arts in education for our kids.
