  • 59th Annual Pancake Day. Benefits community projects of Kiwanis Club of Texarkana. All you can eat pancakes, eggs, sausage, bacon, coffee, juice and milk. PLUS! bake sale, cake walk, raffle, pancake eating contest and a Kids area; a 5K race for adults and a Kids K for children. Truman Arnold Center at Texarkana College. $5.   • 5K Walk/Run for the 2017 Stinson Organ Transplant Awareness Event. Begins at CHRISTUS St Michael Health and Fitness Center, benefiting and promoting organ donation awareness. live music, strongman feats by T-Force Ministries, raffles and more. Free blood typing will also be available by Spirit of Saint Michael. Sat, Mar 4, 9AM. Sign up.

  • Elvis Lives! in the Perot Theatre. A live musical and multi-media musical journey across Elvis’ life.   • Black History Month Celebrations

    • Join the Black History Celebration from Texarkana College and the Texarkana Community Journal as they feature entertainment by nationally acclaimed comedian Derrick Keener and local vocal sensation Stephanie Casteel-Terry, along with the Arkansas Union Elementary Step Team;TISD Jazz Band; Pleasant Grove Star Steppers; Civic, Greek & Student Organizations.     • Free Exhibits! “For All the World to See, Visual Culture and the Struggle for Civil Rights” in RAC through Mar 16. Examines the influence of visual images in shaping and transforming the struggle for racial equality. Also in the RAC through Mar 4. The 14th Annual Reg’l Celebration of African American Artists, exhibit by TRAHC in the Regional Arts Center. Local artists featured in 2017 are Treva West and Cedric Watson.

    • You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown. Heart-warming, moving, funny, fun, wise, musical. Lucy, Charlie Brown, Sally, Snoopy, Schroeder, Woodstock and Linus brought to life by your local friends at Silvermoon Children’s Theatre, who’d love to show you what HAPPINESS means to them!
