1. Grand Opening of the 1894 Gallery in the 1894 City Market (formerly Ritchie Grocery- downtown). Friday, Feb. 16, 5-8 p.m. Enjoy the regional art displays, refreshments and hors’doeuvres, and the leaders of Main Street Texarkana, as they use this special gallery opening to launch the Main Street membership drive. [email protected][email protected]


2. 11th Annual Run the Line Half Marathon 2018. Sunday, Feb. 18. Start: 7:30 a.m. for all race participants. Race course closes at 11 AM. Award Ceremony concludes at 1 PM at Hopkins Ice House. A DOUBLE WIN: For the eleventh year, this event has attracted runners from throughout the region to our community, AND (win-win) the funds raised will be invested in growing our beautiful network of pedestrian and bike trails throughout our community. Learn more.

Broadway Mardi Gras Special.  Presented by the Texarkana Regional Chorale under the direction of Marc-Andre Bougie. Sacred Heart Catholic Church Parish Hall. Festive Food and Music, Silent Auction. Admission $10. Learn more.

4. Tuesday, Feb. 13 OR Thursday, Feb. 15
Clay Angel Workshop with Nina Cork. Presented by TRAHC. Both workshops will be held from 6-8 p.m. at the Regional Arts Center. Limited to students 18 and older. Registration required. Register online.

5. Thursday, Feb. 15, 12:15 p.m.
Melody House Music. TISD Performing Arts Center. Super-fun show for kids filled with tons of energy and learning. Register at 800-234-9228. Learn more.

6. Friday, Feb. 16 at 9 p.m.
Farm to School Training and Local Conversations. Hosted by the Arkansas Agriculture Department at Holiday Inn Texarkana, AR. The morning will serve as specific Farm to School training. The afternoon will function as a vendor tradeshow, open to the public, and to include Governor Hutchinson’s initiative and Healthy Active Arkansas. Learn more.

8. Saturday, Feb. 17: Two Special Events for Kids

  • Valentine Bunny Making, 2-3 p.m. Hop, hop it’s time to make an insanely easy to make, but beyond adorable bunny - in pink for Valentines. $5 per person and kids 3 and under are FREE. At Discovery Place. Learn more.

R&B Singer & Songwriter, CASE. INDUSTRY NIGHT comes to Texarkana with Grammy-Nominated R&B Singer and Songwriter, CASE! BrightStar Theater. Learn more.


10. Saturday, Feb. 17
2018 TASD StuCo My School Color Run. An untimed fun run featuring a 5K course. Throughout the course, participants will experience color splash zones where they will be doused in color. There will also be a final color toss celebration. Learn more.
